MaryAnn Camillieri

Established in 2004, The Magenta Foundation is Canada’s pioneering non-profit, charitable arts publishing house. Magenta was created to organize promotional opportunities for artists, in an international context, through circulated exhibitions and publications. Through its diverse programming, which includes book publishing, an online magazine, the Flash Forward Competition and education program, and its latest addition of an arts book fair called /edition Toronto, the foundation is embracing the ever-changing art arena while forging stronger alliances with international galleries, curators and artists.

Magenta’s latest diversification into producing an art book fair allows for the celebration of printed matter, in all forms, and brings publications to the forefront. Notable titles published by Magenta include Phantom Shanghai, Hanoi Calling and Under Vancouver by Greg Girard, Self & Others by Aline Smithson, The Watchers by Hailey Morris-Cafiero, and the Flash Forward Festival Catalogues, 2004 to the present.

Known and respected for her commitment to providing a platform for emerging talent, and for increasing the profile of under-documented, established artists, MaryAnn Camilleri is sought out to provide advice and guidance to individuals, corporations, and non-profit organizations. She is always looking for engaging projects that can translate well into an exhibition or a publication.
